Kabita Akter, an RMG worker, faced a life-changing challenge after a devastating road accident resulted in the loss of her leg. With determination and the collective support of Brothers Fashion Limited, Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN), and GIZ Bangladesh, she completed her rehabilitation and successfully returned to work with dignity and confidence.

 

Her journey demonstrates the impact of a structured Return to Work (RTW) system, which enables workers who experience injury or disability to safely and successfully reintegrate into the workplace while retaining their employment and livelihoods.

 

This documentary showcases the joint RTW initiative of BBDN and GIZ Bangladesh, highlighting how disability-inclusive workplace practices can transform lives and strengthen workforce resilience. It was produced under the Social Protection for Workers in the Textile and Leather Sector (SOSI) project, implemented with the support of GIZ Bangladesh.
