Roundtable

 

Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN), in collaboration with BRAC Bank PLC and The Business Standard (TBS), organized a high-level roundtable discussion titled “Data Matters: Numbers and Evidence are Key to Disability Inclusive Society.” The event was held on 20 May 2026 at The Business Standard office in Dhaka.

 

The discussion brought together representatives from government ministries and agencies, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), Department of Social Services (DSS), Bangladesh Bank, development partners, employers, researchers, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and disability inclusion experts to explore how better disability data can strengthen inclusive policymaking and employment opportunities.

 

Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN), in collaboration with BRAC Bank PLC and Bonik Barta, under the “Aporajeyo Ami” initiative, organized a high-level roundtable titled “Inclusive Employment for Persons with Disabilities in Bangladesh: From Policy to Practice.”

 

The discussion brought together policymakers, government officials, business leaders, development partners, legal experts, employers, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), and inclusion practitioners to identify practical actions for advancing disability-inclusive employment in Bangladesh.
