The BRAC Bank–BBDN Aporajeyo Ami Program, jointly led by BRAC Bank PLC and Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN), is a comprehensive initiative designed to promote disability inclusion, skills development, and entrepreneurship among persons with disabilities in Bangladesh. Funded by BRAC Bank, a BBDN Premier Member, the program reflects the bank’s commitment to creating inclusive opportunities and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Objective:
The program aims to train 500 persons with disabilities over three years, equipping them with market-relevant skills that enhance employability and support pathways to self-employment. It also seeks to build organizational disability confidence within BRAC Bank by conducting sensitization workshops across departments and branches.

Key Activities:

  • Skills development and upskilling programs tailored for persons with disabilities.
  • Sensitization sessions for BRAC Bank employees to promote inclusion and awareness.
  • National conferences and job fairs connecting trained candidates with employers and networks.

Expected Outcomes:
Through this initiative, BRAC Bank and BBDN aim to create a more inclusive workforce, enhance the visibility and participation of persons with disabilities in the economy, and inspire other private sector organizations to adopt inclusive employment practices. The program embodies a shared vision of empowerment, accessibility, and equal opportunity for all.
