Under the ProGRESS Project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by the International labour organization, Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN) organized a Validation Workshop on the draft “Training of Trainers (ToT) Module on Disability Inclusion for TVET Professionals” at the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
The workshop was graced by Mr. Abul Khair Md. Akkas Ali, Director General of DTE, as the Chief Guest and chaired by Md. Mahmud Hasan, Director (Planning & Development), DTE, Ms. Masreka Khan, Senior Program Officer, Gender and Skills Policy- ILO ProGRESS project. Representatives from TVET institutions, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and development partners also participated in the discussion to review the draft module and discuss practical strategies for creating accessible and inclusive learning environments within the TVET sector.
The workshop generated valuable recommendations to strengthen the module and reinforce collective commitment toward building a more inclusive, disability-responsive, and gender-sensitive TVET ecosystem in Bangladesh.
