Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN) organized an online job fair

Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN) organized an online job fair for persons with disabilities by the cooperation of the European Union-backed ILO Skills 21 project and the FCDO-funded Innovation to Inclusion (i2i) project where the technical support is being provided by the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) program of the Bangladesh Government and Bdjobs. The fair has two phases. The 1st phase of the fair has been closed with two days long inaugural and closing ceremony on 26th and 27th January 2022. The 2nd phase has started with the closing of the 1st phase. On the first phase, candidates got chances to apply in their desired jobs, which was open for a month.

In the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Ardashir Kabir President, Bangladesh Employers Federation & Chairman, Bangladesh Business & Disability Network, Mr. Zahir-bin-Siddique, Country Representative of Leonard Cheshire, Mr. Fahim Mashroor, Managing Director and CEO at Bdjobs, Mr. Mostafa Azad Chowdhury, Senior Vice President, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dr. Md. Omar Faruque, Director General, Directorate of Bangladesh Technical Education, Mr. Tuomo Poutiainen, Country Director, International Labour Organization (ILO) in Bangladesh, Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Project Director (Joint Secretary), Aspire to Innovate (a2i) and Mr. Vashkar Bhattachariya, National consultant-Accessibility Aspire to Innovate (a2i) were present.
