On April 17, 2025, the Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN) successfully organized a special recruitment drive in Khulna, in collaboration with ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno). This event, supported by the ProGRESS project of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and partnered with the local organization Bandhab Protibondhi Songstha, was held at the ‘Belly’ conference room of Hotel City Inn Limited in Khulna.
The drive aimed to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, recruiting for 10 outlets of Shwapno in the Khulna district. A total of 20 candidates with disabilities participated, engaging directly with Shwapno’s recruitment team. This initiative provided a platform for both candidates with disabilities and recruiters to connect, allowing employers to assess candidates’ skills and potential, while giving jobseekers the opportunity to showcase their abilities in real-time.
We are pleased to announce that this recruitment drive resulted in 9 persons with disabilities, including 3 women, receiving job offers. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to foster inclusive workplaces and empower persons with disabilities through sustainable employment opportunities.
