BBDN organized a spot interview for job placement of persons with disabilities on 17 May, 2022 at Subarna Bhaban of Jatiyo Protibondhi Unnayan Foundation (JPUF), Mirpur, Dhaka. Team Group, founder member of BBDN as an employer conducted the interview process. They were supposed to hire employee at worker level. B-Scan was a partner here to organize the spot interview with direct support of BBDN. The event was organized as part of the 2nd phase activities of 2nd online job fair of BBDN. In this regards B-SCAN leave an open call for the interview and contacted with the candidates from the resource data base. Around 35 people were communicated from the resource & 250 phone call attend for spot interview as well. Finally 48 people were selected for attending the spot interview. Most of them were outside Dhaka. 27 participants were attend for spot interview on the event day. Rest of them couldn’t attend there due to sickness or couldn’t manage the travel ticket for Dhaka. Among the job interviewee most of them were persons with physical disabilities. Persons with hearing, speech, visual (low vision) disabilities were also out there. Before initializing the interview a brief speech from 3 (three) organizations, BBDN, B-SCAN and Team Group were delivered. Three persons from Team Group conducted the interview process. Authorities from BBDN & BSCAN just observed the interview process only. Authorities from Team Group showed their positive attitude while taking the interview. After the interview authorities of Team Group hired 15 persons with disabilities at different positions like Industrial Executive, Sewing Operator, Quality Inspector, Packing Man, Helper, Gardener etc.  They will continue to be the part of this job placement support for persons with disabilities. Not only that they are willing to work with both BBDN & B-SCAN regarding the support of job placement for persons with disabilities farther more. They would like to also incorporate persons with disabilities in their other sectors like pharmaceuticals, fashion house etc.
