Return to Work Training (Batch 03) Held in Chattogram – January 29-30, 2025

The Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN), in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Dhaka, Bangladesh, organized the third batch of Return to Work (RTW) training on January 29-30, 2025, in Chattogram. This initiative is part of the project ‘Development of the Foundations for Rehabilitative Services for the Export-Oriented RMG Sector of Bangladesh’. The two-day certificate training took place at Hotel Asian SR, Station Road, Chattogram.

The primary objective of the training was to develop factory- and industry-level experts capable of coordinating and facilitating the smooth reintegration of employees returning to work after injury or illness, by arranging or mobilizing necessary medical and rehabilitation support.

The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury, Program Manager, BBDN, and Dr. Rushan Afroze, Health Advisor for Social Protection for Workers in the Textile and Leather Sector (GIZ), supported by a team of experts from BBDN. Rear Admiral Harunur Rashid (Retd), an RTW Master Trainer, also conducted a session during the training.

A total of 29 professionals from the HR and Compliance departments of 15 RMG factories actively participated in this interactive learning experience. Participants were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the training.
