Sensitization Session on Disability (Inclusive Classroom) with Creative IT Institute

Session in Progress

On March 23, 2025, Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN) conducted a sensitization session on disability inclusion (inclusive classroom) with the aim of enhancing participants’ understanding of disability inclusion and inclusive communication practices with Creative IT Institute at their office premises in Dhanmondi.

The session was led by Ms. Aziza Ahmed, Director Operations; Mr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury, Program Manager; and Mr. Nayem Molla, Communications and Admin Officer of BBDN. A total of 12 participants attended the session, including instructors, mentors, and other staff. Sharlin Akther, Assistant Program Manager of BBDN and Mr. Kamrul Hasan, Head of HR of Creative IT Institute, were also present in the sensitization session.

Through interactive discussions, participants explored various aspects of disability, including different types of disabilities, the barriers faced by persons with disabilities receiving digital skills training, inclusive communication etiquette, and the importance of creating an inclusive classroom.

This sensitization session is part of an ongoing partnership between BBDN and Creative IT Institute, through which the institute will provide digital upskilling training to youth with disabilities. By raising awareness and building capacity among its trainers and staff, Creative IT Institute is taking an important step toward ensuring a more accessible and inclusive learning environment.
