As part of our ongoing commitment to advancing disability inclusion in the private sector, the Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN) partnered with Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, a Founder Member of BBDN, to conduct a sensitization session for its employees. Hosted on February 12, 2025 at Berger’s corporate office in Uttara, the session aimed to raise awareness, challenge biases, and create a more inclusive and supportive work environment for persons with disabilities.

The session began with welcoming remarks from Ms. Tasnuva Nadia, Head of Organizational Development at Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited. It featured a series of interactive group activities and discussions designed to enhance participants’ understanding of disability inclusion, workplace accessibility, and inclusive etiquette. BBDN team members, including Ms. Aziza Ahmed (Director Operations), Mr. Tareq Mahmud (Deputy Program Manager), and Mr. Nayem Molla (Communications and Admin Officer) facilitated the session. Ms. Nishat Afroz, a Sales Support Officer at Berger, also shared her personal experiences as a woman employee with low vision, highlighting the reasonable accommodations that have positively impacted her work life.

Ms. Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, also joined the session and delivered inspiring remarks, reaffirming the company’s commitment to creating more opportunities for persons with disabilities. Also present at the session from BBDN were Mr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury (Program Manager), Ms. Sharlin Akther (Assistant Program Manager), and Ms. Rubaiya Sultana (Senior Program Officer).

We commend Berger Paints for taking meaningful steps toward building an inclusive workplace and look forward to continuing our collaboration to expand this initiative across their operations.
